Surrounded by the high peaks of the Troll Peninsula, a stay at Skeið Farm Lodge is the perfect place to get away from it all. Whether you're looking for long, leisurely walks along Svarfaðardalur, a yoga retreat with special friends or a ski trip to one of the many spectacular peaks you can see from your room window, you can access these pleasures right from the door of Skeið Farm Lodge.

New at Skeið this year is our commitment to permaculture. It is of the utmost importance to us to operate our business in an environmentally sustainable manner. We believe that this way of life brings out the richness and harmony of our special landscape and makes the experiences at Skeið Farm Lodge even more satisfying. We encourage our guests to immerse themselves in the outdoor activities offered by our breathtaking natural environment. We welcome families, hiking groups, yoga groups, ski touring groups and friends of nature.

Skeið Farm Lodge offers unique accommodation in a renovated barn. We have two separate accommodations in the same building, each with its own entrance. The first is a small apartment with 2 double bedrooms, a bathroom and a spacious kitchen. This accommodation is ideal for families, couples or small groups of 4 people, with a maximum of 6 people. Next door is the larger group accommodation with 14 beds in 3 bedrooms.

The first bedroom has a small bed with another built on top (beds are 90cm x 200cm). The second room has 9 single beds bunked on 3 levels (beds are 100cm x 200cm). The third bedroom is a triple room with a double bed (180cm x 200cm) and a single bunk bed built on top (90cm x 200cm), plus the option to add a mattress (180cm x 200cm), hidden under the double bed, ready to be pulled out. There is a spacious dining/kitchen area with a large table, a lounge, 2 showers, 3 toilets and a small sauna. In the hallway you will find a washing machine and dryer as well as a drying room.

Internet access is available in both units. Bed linen is available for rent or you can bring your own sleeping bag. The kitchen is ideal for you to prepare your own meals. We also offer the option of preparing meals for you. The latter option is only available by prior arrangement.
