Guesthouse on the shores of Lake Myvant, with well-equipped, comfortable, clean and soberly decorated rooms
This name actually includes several addresses scattered around the village on the lake. Each house offers comfortable, clean and soberly decorated rooms. Some of them are equipped with a kitchen, you can have breakfast in one of them and you can contact the other one to make reservations, rent bicycles, prepare an excursion... Well located, this accommodation offers all the necessary comfort and useful facilities to organize the rest of your stay. It is also ideal for a walk around Lake Myvatn, which is only a few minutes away.

This is the way a guesthouse should be run. We rented one of the standalone bungalows - it was 2 rooms with a shared bathroom and shared kitchen. The rooms were clean and quiet, the breakfast was outstanding, and the one thing that this place offered that we didn't find anywhere else in the country was a visitor's guide with QR codes for easily finding activities in the area.
The nearby Myvatn Nature Baths were my favorite springs in the country (we visited several), and this is where we first saw the Aurora Borealis.
Highly recommend this destination and the Elda Guesthouse.

Considérant que le choix d’hébergements est assez restreint dans le secteur de Myvatn, je ne prends pas un grand risque en vous recommandant celui-ci. Les chambres sont simples, froidement décorées, l’insonorisation n’est pas optimale, les portes de chambre sont bruyantes et le prix est plutôt élevé. Cela dit, le petit déjeuner sous forme de buffet est très complet, délicieux et varié. S’il est inclus dans le prix de l’hébergement, il peut devenir très abordable. Autrement, il est plutôt dispendieux. Je tiens également à souligner que les chambres sont suffisamment spacieuses, les salles de bain et cuisines sont fonctionnelles et adéquates, les lieux sont propres, le service est bon, l’emplacement est génial et il y a amplement d’espaces de stationnement.
