After driving along an easily accessible gravel road, you arrive at Möðrudalur Farm, Iceland's highest farm on Route 901, off Highway 1. Here you'll find a church, a campsite with a lovely children's playground, an atypical but functional gas station, a café-restaurant and a guesthouse with pleasant wood-panelled rooms. Helicopter flights are also available from the site (www.volcanoheli.is).
