Location is good, make sure you visit Fjaðrárgljúfur while in the area, it is right there & very beautiful.
Room was warm, quiet, clean, comfortable mattress. I had a shared bathroom but it was clean & there were no issues as other guests were clean & respectful. Fun part was that you get like your own tiny house, it's a fun interesting experience, especially if aurora is around. It is very quiet both in the room
I really enjoyed dinner course menu, I think it was worth the money & the quality was definitely very good. They were also accepting & accommodating of my dietary restrictions, thank you! And the dinner was especially nice with a great choice of calm jazzy evening music - very relaxing after a long day. It was one of the most memorable dinner experiences while in Iceland, I really enjoyed it.
Breakfast was OK, with usual options in Icelandic hotels/guesthouses. Check in/out was quick, seamless. Staff very nice all the time. Parking free on premises.

A great place to see the stars and the night sky. Super friendly staff and I liked their bean patties. Would recommend!

Endroit bucolique avec personnel très gentil et au petits soins avec les hôtes. Repas du soir copieux et délicieux avec agneau de la ferme.

This guest house has an amazing restaurant in a peaceful location. Paula was our hostess and mentioned that the lamb at the restaurant is from her father's farm. I tried the grilled lamb,and I usually don't like lamb but it was delicious. The dessert was wonderful and the Hunkbakker coffee with rum was smooth and tasty. I'm going to have so much working out to do. The rooms and bathroom were clean with a shared bathroom. Our room mates were kind and excited about the trip too. Loved the experience.

Alles gut soweit, saubere Zimmer, tolle Location, und das Abendessen war klasse! Dass Frühstück ist nur sehr bedürftig.

Sehr schönes großes Guesthouse, Top Lage unweit von der Ringstraße, kleine aber ausreichende Auswahl beim Frühstück, Abendessen mega gut, Lamm vom eigenen Hof und der Fisch frisch gefangen

Our stay was utterly charming. The staff were so warm and welcome. While rustic the cabin was clean and cozy. The bathroom was a little small, but the hot water broke any chill that came from the outdoor activities. Lamb from the local farm was delicious and the restaurant could accommodate our dietary requests quite well.

Es perfecto. Cabañas super bonitas ubicadas en un campo muy agradable. Cogimos una habitación con baño compartido, que en nuestro caso la casita estaba dividida en dos, por lo que solamente compartías baño con una sola pareja. También cogimos una triple con baño privado, cabaña preciosa y espaciosa de madera. No hay cocina en la cabaña, pero hay mesas y sillas. Tienen restaurante con productos frescos de la zona, el mejor salmón que he probado nunca, el cordero también buenísimo y las verduras un sabor increíble. Recomiendo muchísimo este sitio y a que dediquéis unas horas a disfrutar el ambiente, nosotros tuvimos poco tiempo y me quede con las ganas de poder aprovechar más ahí.

El precio en general es elevado, pero como todo en Islandia????

It is a good location if you are sightseeing in the south of Iceland. We stayed on our way back from the glaciers before returning to Reykjavik. This place is close to many attractions there.
Our cabin was clean and comfortable. There were plenary of outlets for recharging our devices. A kettle and tea/coffee were in the room as well. It was so quiet we slept well.
The on-site food was great. The lamb they serve is from their own farm. It was delicious. The included breakfast was continental style, but there were a variety of things to choose from.

In viaggio con i miei due figli io una signora di mezza età e loro due grandi giovani. Arrivati qui per caso ma, non vorremmo più andare via. Cibo ottimo, casetta meravigliosa. Grazie Hunkubakkar.

Located about six kilometers west of Kirkjubæjarklaustur and just one kilometer north of Route 1, the small and very cozy wooden cabins of Hunkubakkar Guesthouse are a peaceful gem in southern Iceland. Our double room was in a cabin with four rooms in total and was a bit basic but very clean and comfortable. Thanks to the very warm welcome, we felt right at home. The restaurant serves lamb from the family farm just across the road and fish from the region - both were delicious! The breakfast was okay overall, although the selection was a bit smaller than in other accommodations. One of the most beautiful accommodations on our round trip, which we really liked because of the small cabins. We also recommend a visit to the Fjaðrárgljúfur gorge, which is only about two kilometers away. Thank you very much for having us!

De locatie van het guesthouse is dichtbij de 'moskloof' waardoor je nog een mooie avond wandeling kan maken. Het guesthouse is helemaal prima en de bedden liggen ook goed. Je kunt heerlijk even ontspannen in het huisje. Het ontbijt was iets te basic, dit had wat uitgebreider gemogen.
