The Lava Tunnel offers you visits to the Raufarhólshellir lava cave, which was formed more than 5,000 years ago and is 1.3 km long. The site is located on Highway 39, 10 km north of Þorlákshöfn. Departures all year round. The company has a bus allowing transfer from Reykjavík, for an extra charge.
