The Greenhouse Hotel's appeal lies in its green setting and its foodcourt concept, with no fewer than 7 restaurants offering a variety of dishes and beverages. However, it can be a little noisy when crowded. The rooms have a sober, modern ambience, with meticulous details such as the window-sill seating and the desk area in each room. Nevertheless, the rooms are not air-conditioned, and it can get a little (too) hot at times.

Sehr schönes modernes Hotel mit Food Court, schönen Sitzmöglichkeiten und nettem Service. Das Frühstück war KLEIN, aber fein. Einziges Manko bei unserem Zimmer, man hat die ganze Nacht den Bass der Musik gehört. Wenn man mal wieder Menschen sehen will, bietet sich dieses Hotel an.

What a great find for a place to stay outside Reykjavik! They let us into the room early since we drove straight from the airport, and were helpful any time we needed ~ especially the receptionist who even looked up where we could buy frisbi discs when we found there were two disc courses nearby! (Sorry we didn't get her name but she was a local) The room was cozy and clean with a great view, and the bar downstairs served great cocktails. Wide variety of places to eat in the hotel, but we were in walking distance of a local brewery/pizzeria... For a small town, had fascinating geothermal spots everywhere ~ don't miss the rift between Europe & North America outside the post office!
Definitely a perfect base for outdoor adventures nearby and further away!

We chose this place for the location & it's a cool concept. It's obvious they've decided to cut corners on the hotel & service. Staying here was a mistake on my part, I wouldn't stay here again.
