Train

On the Turin-Trieste railway axis, Vicenza is well connected to the rest of Northern Italy. Trains run every hour from Vicenza to Padua, Verona and Venice. To reach Venezia Santa Lucia, allow between 45 minutes and 1 hour and 20 minutes maximum; for Verona, between 25 minutes and 1 hour; for Padua, between 15 and 30 minutes. There are also direct trains to Milan (1 hour 50 minutes to 2 hours 30 minutes), Brescia (1 hour to 1 hour 30 minutes) and Lake Garda (about 50 minutes to Peschiera del Garda). In addition, AIM city buses, lines 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, connect the station square to the city center.

GARE ROUTIÈRE SVT

Bus and coach

There are regular connections to all the towns in the province of Vicenza; however, you should know that the bus journey can be longer than the train journey. For example, if you want to go to Padua, you should take the train because it takes three times less time (15 minutes). However, for other cities such as Montecchio Maggiore (30 minutes), Bassano del Grappa (1 hour), Marostica (45 minutes) and Montagnana (1 hour), the bus is probably the best solution. Ticket prices range from €2 to €11.80 depending on the destination: available at the ticket office or on the bus with a surcharge.
