Lively square with remarkable monuments, the heart of Rovigo.

Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II is the beating heart of Rovigo. It is adorned with a column (1519) surmounted by the lion of Saint Mark. It is also framed by sublime palaces of the 15th and 17th centuries. Amongst others, you can admire the Loggia dei Nodari, seat of the town hall, with its statue of the Virgin and Child (1590). Next to it is the Torre dell'Orologio (clock tower) and the elegant facades of the Accademia dei Concordi (1477) and Palazzo Roncale.
