With its 8 hectares, Spišská Nová Ves Zoo is the smallest and probably the most beautiful zoo in Slovakia. It is home to over 530 animals of 130 species, including all the big cats - desert lions, Siberian tigers and American pumas. The zoo also has playgrounds for children. An arboretum is set up in the heart of the park, offering a lovely walk through more than 30 plant species.
