KOŠICE ZOO - DINOPARK

Built in 1979 and considered the largest in Central Europe, this zoo covers 292 hectares and houses over 700 animals. Reptiles, birds and mammals, including lions and bears, can be seen here. The zoo specialises in the preservation of a hardy species of Carpathian horse, the Huzul. The Dinopark, which opened on¹ June 2013, is a sort of Jurassic Park covering 5 hectares and offering a journey dotted with the best-known life-size dinosaurs, for the pleasure of the youngest... and the oldest.
