PROTECTED AREA OF HALIGOVCE (HALIGOVSKÉ SKALY)

An astonishing rocky concentration, the Haligovské Skaly protected area is located in the municipality of Haligovce, in the heart of the Pieniny park. The natural area is home to many unique cliffs and limestone formations accessible by hiking trails from Červený Kláštor and Haligovce. There are also many natural cavities and caves, known since the Middle Ages. Unfortunately, no local caves are open to the public.
