MUSEUM OF ČIČMANY (MÚZEUM V ČIČMANY)

The small village of Čičmany is very famous for its traditional wooden houses, painted with white patterns inspired by local embroidery and lace. Opened in 1987, this museum is located in the heart of the village, whose house facades are similarly decorated with white motifs. A unique testimony to the local artistic heritage, the visit is well worth the detour. The frescoes on the houses, dating back 200 years, are the work of the women of the village.
