DANUBE REGION MUSEUM (PODUNAJSKÉ MÚZEUM)

The main building of the town's museum complex offers a historical exhibition of the region from prehistoric times to 1849 (the continuation of the exhibition from 1849 to the present day is in the Zichy Palace), using ethnographic elements or objects found during archaeological excavations. A second room in this magnificent little rococo palace is devoted to a collection of classical paintings by artists from this southern Slovak region.
