TRENČIANSKE MÚZEUM (TRENČIN MUSEUM)

The monumental building of the former mansion of Trenčín - originally the palace of the Ilešházy family of the 17th century - is now the seat of the Trenčín museum. It now houses exhibitions on the nature, history and culture of the city and the former county of Trenčín. The museum also has a collection of historical clocks, ceramics, carved pipes, and a collection of more than 700 specimens of butterflies and other insects.
