PLACE OF PEACE (MIEROVÉ NÁMESTIE)

It is the heart of the historic city where the interesting monuments are located. In its centre stands the column of the Holy Trinity in memory of the ravages of the plague in the 18th century. To the south of the square, the Piarist church of St. Francis Xavier and its convent, both from the 17th century, are recognizable by their inimitable chick yellow colour and baroque silhouette. The exterior is austere, but inside the frescoes depicting the life of St. Francis Xavier.
