CERAMIC FACTORY (ĽUDOVÁ MAJOLIKA)

Modra ceramics are the most famous in Slovakia. During the 1.5 hour visit, the different manufacturing processes are explained. From the white clay extracted in quarries near the city, the pottery is shaped and then painted with floral motifs in white, yellow, red, lie-de-vin, emerald green and ultramarine blue before being varnished. For those who want to bring back a souvenir, there is a shop on the site.
