CHURCH OF THE HOLY TRINITY (KOSTOL SV TROJICE)

This church was originally the place of worship of the Order of the Most Holy Trinity, which settled in Trnava in 1712. It was consecrated in 1729 by Ján Okoličáni. Following the prohibition of this monastic order by the King of Hungary, the church and monastery were entrusted to the Jesuits who undertook a reconstruction phase in 1875. The single-nave building has a lunette vault resting on huge pilasters that create shallow side chapels.
