BANKSY: LA MADONNA CON LA PISTOLA

It is one of the very few works of the English street artist in Italy. Located next to the side entrance of the pizzeria Dal Presidente, it is protected since 2016 by a plexiglass window. It represents an ecstatic Virgin Mary, inspired by the religious figures of Baroque art, whose halo is replaced by a gun. The artist denounces the social contradictions that inhabit the city of Naples, between deep religiosity and crime.
