Located west of Naples, this vast volcanic area has several cities of importance such as Pozzuoli (Pozzuoli). See also the Solfatara volcano whose seismic vibrations and fumaroles testify to the activity. The crater consists of clay and silica.

To get to the hot ground, within easy reach to see fumaroles and bubbles in mud, it is magical.
