PALAZZO VENEZIA
For 400 years, this historic 15th-century palace was the seat of the Venetian embassy to the Kingdom of Naples. Today, its string of rooms hosts exhibitions and workshops, but the main attraction is the hanging garden at the rear, an unexpected island of greenery in the heart of Naples. A bar has taken possession of the premises, and you can settle down for a drink in the shade of the palms and tall ficus trees. At the far end of the garden, note the casina pompeiana, a neoclassical pavilion in shades of yellow and Pompeian red.
