A boutique hotel, where Neapolitan elegance and elegance combine harmoniously. Its strategic position in the heart of Naples, on the hill of Vomero, one of the most popular districts thanks to its famous shops which allowed it to take the well deserved name of Vomero Hill, makes it possible to take advantage of all the attractions and tourist excursions of the city and its surroundings. A privileged climate, broken down by its high location, a romantic, romantic atmosphere characterizes this beautiful Villa Nouveau, surrounded by a splendid garden. Apartments and rooms are finely decorated, the owners have cared for the decoration, leaving nothing at random to satisfy the wishes of their guests. Do not hesitate to book the room with the whirlpool: a must! The services offered are those of the high hotel. Warm welcome and family atmosphere. Sumptuous breakfast, in the image of this charming hotel.

I would stay here again in a heartbeat next time I travel to Napoli. Wonderful
location , and the friendliest and most helpful staff. The owner Paolo is the best and gave amazing recommendations for places to eat or visit .

Weekend in Naples - a huge disappointment.

The welcome by the hosts was anything but welcoming, my simple question about the possibility of losing keys, and what to do in case this happens as there isn’t a reception, was brushed off arrogantly with a “we’ve had 65.000 guests and no one lost them, why would you”.
The host also told me he was tired and so the whole stay was not off to good start as we felt anything but welcome and this feeling continued for the rest of our stay.

Upon arrival we were given a card where we had to fill in the exact items that we wanted for breakfast and inform them exactly at what time we would come.
Vacation is about leisure and I don’t know if I will wake up at 8 or 9, how many espressos or cappuccinos I will drink, I might not even feel like having breakfast.
As a guest it is my choice when and if I want to come for breakfast and this approach was absolutely ridiculous.

Breakfast itself was pitiful- dry toast bread, two meager pieces of processed cheese and turkey ham, a dry and unedible airline omelette, practically no fresh fruit and so we ended up not going for breakfast at all the next days. The coffee was good but that was it.

The room was very stuffy and had a foul smell, unfortunately it was also situated on the ground floor so opening the window let in the exhausts of the busy traffic and didn't help much. If you happen to make the mistake of staying at this "hotel" despite the warnings and have asthma, bring an extra inhaler.

Naples is very noisy in general so I won’t complain about the noise but Friday and Saturday night I was very happy to have my earplugs which helped a bit.

The room is worn out, there are no amenities and no hotel slippers which were advertised.
The empty kleenex box was not replaced/refilled for the last two days of our stay.
If you want to escape the room you have nowhere to go as there is no lounge or similar.

The shower’s water pressure is extremely weak and it takes ages for the hot water to start and once it comes you never get a nice temperature but either it’s too hot or cold.
When we mentioned this we were again met with an insulted attitude and rudeness and told that it's normal. Someone was to be sent to our room to check it and we were told that the room had to be empty when this happens. Not sure it happened, but if so, the change was not palpable.
The shower itself feels dirty and it's extremely annoying that you can't switch on the light in the bathroom without the fan going off.

When, at breakfast, I asked if they could bring some glasses to the room I was told that I already had one. When I answered that the one in the room (that I had taken from breakfast) had been there for two days and that perhaps it could be changed, all I got was an icy stare.

Lastly, we booked a trip through the hotel to Pompeii and Mt. Vesuvius and were told that we were going with a mini van. Imagine our surprise when after having picked up two other couples at other hotels, the driver dropped us at the train station and told us that we were getting on a big bus instead.
This is something that we should have been informed about because we would not have booked the trip.

Vomero is a nice neighborhood, consisting of mostly local people and you get away from the suffocating tourism that you find in other parts of Naples. I’m not sure I would stay there again though, the area around Chiaia district seemed more upscale.

It was very nice of the host to take us to the Funicolar, stopping on the way for an espresso and giving us some tips.
However, this doesn’t compensate for the terrible stay that we had.

Needless to say, I would definitely NOT recommend staying at Weekend in Napoli.

I must say that having had red all the reviews of the hotel, having had seen all the photos, I was a bit if not a lot dissapointed. After all this plus the location were the 3 reasons we decided to travel. I will completely put aside the fact, that even though we did mention that we are traveling for birthday cellebrations, nothing was done to at least acknowledge that. The room is much smaller than what it looks on the photos, furniture is very very outdated, our wardrobe had a peace of fabric instead of a door and I can continue. No amenities (aside from shower gell), no glasses for water , no slippers (which are advertised). In the shower you had to leave the water running for at least 5 if not 10 minutes to get hot water and the pressure is extremely ,weak. There is absolutely no public space (lobby) and so the lovely photos of sofas etc you see, that is actually either a picture of a suite or the flat where the owners stay and where brfeakfast is served. The room itself is dark as it is on the ground floor and has a weird smell / odour unfortunately. There is a garden, but not one where you can sit out and hav a coffee - and even if it was, there is no place to make one.
Breakfast as such is basic and that is me being nice. No fresh products what so ever, the pastries are store bought and dull.
The location as such is beautiful and connects to city centre with a funicular - which is very convenient.
The host Paulo was nice, even walked us to the castle and took us out for a coffee on the way which is nice - though I did feel he got upset when we kindly mentioned if we could have glasses in the room to drink water or if he could fix the shower.

Location unica.
