BRITANNIQUE HOTEL ^{* * * * *}

Nothing to complain about here. Wonderful staff. We had a great view of Vesuvius from our balcony. Our room faces the street but was very quiet at night.

I had booked a room with a view. That was the best aspect of my stay. The view was great. The hotel is extremely overpriced. The room was ok, with clear signs of dust on the parquet. The tv set did not work, so I had to call for a repair man. The air-conditioning did not work, so I had to call someone to reset the system. The bathroom had plenty of products, but installed in a not very convenient manner. The liquid soap had its opening close to the wall, and turning it towards the room would only shut it off. When taking the first shower I discovered the shower gel container was empty. I was entitled to free breakfast, but when I tried to order fried eggs, they said I should pay for them separately. The buffet breakfast has some dubious-looking pots that contain over-cooked bacon, some scrambled eggs and other such items. The waiters do not have the proper attitude, and they do not excel in either kindness or customer-friendliness. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, so taxis are a must if one wants to get around. The receptionists are easier to get along with, and quite willing to help in getting taxis or trying to explain how to get from the hotel to the city centre. At about 500 U.S. dollars per night, I would say this hotel is underwhelming at best.

Sono stato a Pasquetta al roof, su consiglio di una conoscente che gentilmente mi aveva. prenotato un tavolo; volevo far bella figura con un ospite amica di vecchia data e invece PESSIMA ESPERIENZA. Nonostante l'ottima accoglienza traspare la disorganizzazione e l'arredo é discutibile. Inoltre non c'era alcuna musica di sottofondo, la abbiamo chiesta e ci hanno detto che l'impianto è rotto. ASSURDO per un roof 5 stelle
20 euro per un drink, 20 per un TOAST, minimo 45 per un vino da 10 euro e non vi dico il resto. Abbiamo optato per la pizza, che era l'esatto opposto della pizza Margherita DOP eppure costa 20 euro. Abbismo incontrato una ospite in ascensore che si lamentava della sala Spa e del fatto che andava prenotato tutto prima e magari era vuota. E il parcheggio? 10 euro...
Carino il panorama, ma ci sono decine di bar a Posillipo che offrono lo stesso panorama. È Napoli che è bella, il Britannique è pessimo.
Volevo mettere una, seconda stella solo per simpatia e gentilezza di receptionist e camerieri ma ci ho ripensato.
