CITADEL AND MUNICIPAL MUSEUMS
Museum gathering the vestiges found in the region, from Prehistory to the High Middle Ages.
Intended by the Visconti in the 14th century for defensive purposes, the citadel was used by the Venetians as a grain tank and goods warehouse. The first museum is famous for an important collection of fossils, while the Archaeological Museum gathers the remains found in the area from Prehistory to the early Middle Ages. The Botanical Garden is also worth a visit for the great variety of plants preserved and offers a beautiful view.
