One of the most accomplished architectural expressions of the Lombard Renaissance.
One of the most accomplished architectural expressions of the Lombard Renaissance. Last residence of the Venetian condottiere Bartolomeo Colleoni, built in 1472 by the architect of the Carthusian monastery of Pavia, Antonio Amedeo. The facade crowned by a dome is covered with polychrome marble. Inside, the monumental tomb has Gothic motifs with a Renaissance sensibility. Beautiful frescoes depicting the life of St. John the Baptist, by G. B. Tiepolo (1733), adorn the dome. On the left, the tomb of the daughter of the condottiere, Medea Colleoni.

Très belle façade de marbre. Le portail est aussi à voir (petits détails...). Il faut la voir si on est à Bergame. L'intérieur comprend, entre autres, des tombes.
