La Sosta restaurant, housed in the stables of an old aristocratic palace in Brescia, has been a reference point in the region since it opened in 1967. Its cuisine is linked to the land and its traditions. Among the proposals of the chef Ezio Colombo are a risotto with pumpkin, basil and black pepper, or Brescian-style kid served with polenta from Castagnato. Amusing, the sign of the restaurant represents a knight raising his glass of wine to the sky, while on the fireplace stands the emblem of the Martinengo family.

Small family osteria just a few steps from Piazza della Loggia with an old-fashioned atmosphere that makes all its charm. At the entrance there is a beautiful wooden counter with bottles, followed by two small rooms in a slightly retro style. Not to be missed are the malfatti (ricotta and spinach ravioli) with melted butter and the stracotto d'asino con polenta (donkey meat marinated with its polenta), vino della casa (wine from the house pitcher) and homemade desserts. A sincere and tasty cuisine in a friendly and courteous atmosphere. Very good value for money.

A dream location for this bistro and wine bar, which is as bobo as it gets, right on Brescia's cathedral square. Inside, the decor is vintage, colorful and a touch retro; on the terrace, small tables let you bask in the sun from breakfast to late-night drinks. In the kitchen, vegetarian recipes are the order of the day: surimi burger, tofu steak, blueberry muffins and so on. It's all very good and (a good sign) the locals love it, for a break at any hour.

Friendly and charming atmosphere in this historic brasserie with old stones, in an old vaulted cellar. Behind the stoves, the best of Brescian cuisine is prepared for you to enjoy - with a special focus on polenta and excellent local cheeses. Marco Poteri, the chef, also works to combine the culinary traditions of the region with modern cooking techniques and tasty adaptations in the preparations. The wine list has 250 references, enough to make you discover beautiful nuggets.

Perched on the hill, this recently opened restaurant is not lacking in assets. The view of Brescia is breathtaking, and the food is delicious, with a platter of cold cuts and cheeses to whet your appetite before continuing with grilled meats from the region.
