Read moreOpen since 2021, the Diocesan Museum of Cremona is located in the basement of an 18th-century episcopal palace. It houses the cathedral's treasures, some one hundred works arranged in various thematic sections, such as the origins of the diocese of Cremona, the Incarnation and the Virgin, and the Cross. Room 11 is dedicated to the Tavola di Sant'Agata, a precious wood painting produced in the late 13th century by an unknown Lombard artist, probably from Cremona. It is a pivotal work in the artistic history of northern Italy.
