STATUE OF THE CHAMOIS (SOCHA KAMZÍKA)

You will see it on all the postcards, but you have to climb above the city to see it in real. As a reward, you will have a magnificent view of Karlovy Vary and the hill opposite topped by the Imperial Hotel. The original statue, made of zinc in 1856, was replaced in 1986 by a bronze copy. It is said that it was Baron Lutzov who had it made to deny the famous legend of the deer that fell into the Vfiědlo spring.
