It was founded in 1919, which makes it the oldest zoo in the country. But it developed especially in the 1950s by specializing in rare animals and threatened or endangered species, and not only European. On 15 ha, 287 animals of more than 150 different species are presented, including a famous pair of white tigers, which became the symbol of the local field hockey team. Among the latest arrivals are some beautiful Przewalski's horses.

Un zoo très sympa
Le plus ancien zoo de la République tchèque. Très sympa à découvrir. Animaux pas peureux car pas bcp de monde en dehors des vacances. Bien accessible en transport
