BALTIC CENTRE FOR CONTEMPORARY ART

Just in front of the Millenium Bridge, on the south bank of the Tyne, stands this huge old warehouse, which is worth admiring on its own. Today, it hosts several rotating exhibitions of contemporary art on four floors, in voluminous and highly prized galleries. On the 5th floor, the Viewing Box has been specially designed to provide beautiful views of the river. A friendly shop is located on the ground floor and a restaurant on the top floor is very popular both for the view and the quality of the cuisine.
