Specializing in American-style meats and cocktails, The Ox is Bristol's go-to address for carnivores. Portions aren't necessarily huge for first-rate diners, but it's in the quality of the meat that the real difference lies. You can come for lunch at a lower price, or in the evening in a classier setting. The atmosphere is subdued, with dark colors. We particularly recommend you try the traditional Sunday lunchtime roast, a favorite with the locals.
