Excellent pub in the heart of the Barbican, by the quayside. The food is hearty and homemade, almost gastro-pub style, except that here, as is often the case, you order at the bar! Salads, burgers, lasagne, grilled meats, sausage & mash... good, simple and efficient! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the terrace is often packed when the weather's fine, and the place is a great place to meet local people. The Ship regularly plays host to small live music groups to liven up the evenings for locals and visitors alike!
