TORQUAY MUSEUM

The Torquay Museum is best known, of course, for its gallery devoted to the native Agatha Christie. Here, her life and work are recounted in detail and illustrated with photos. A must-see for fans of the author. Another department, the Explorers' Gallery, is dedicated to archaeology and Egyptology in particular. Fossils discovered in Kents Cavern are on display. It's a fun visit well worth the detour. The calendar of activities, events, conferences and even film screenings is quite comprehensive.
