ISLE OF WIGHT FESTIVAL

This is one of Britain's most popular music festivals. Rock and pop take center stage, and the tranquil fields in the center of the island are packed to the rafters for the event. Although not quite as famous as Glastonbury, the Isle of Wight Festival attracts some very big names, and tickets go fast. The ^1st edition of the festival was held in 1968, at the height of the hippie era. Bob Dylan was the star of the^2nd edition. The Who, David Bowie in 2004, Muse and Green Day, announced for 2024, have all played here.
