DOVER MUSEUM

The Dover Museum provides an insight into the town's history, evolution and major events. The local past is traced from the Roman occupation to the Second World War, via the Saxon era, the Norman Conquest and Victorian times. Large-scale models of Dover give an idea of its different faces over time. The centerpiece, however, is the hull of a 3,500-year-old Bronze Age ship found not far away in 1992. It is now on display here, and presented with precision.
