It is the oldest college in the city, founded in 1284 by Hugh de Fuca, Bishop of Ely. It was renovated in the th century. The poet Thomas Gray lived there for a while before moving to Pembroke College.

Ayant eu la chance d'étudier un an à Cambridge, j'ai eu l'occasion de visiter la grande majorité de ses collèges et Pete House est incontestablement l'un de mes préférés. On trouve difficilement plus mignon que ce petit college, avec sa petite église et son tout petit hall, au demeurant très beau. Le jardin est par ailleurs très agréable. Attention toutefois à ne pas s'y retrouver enfermé en ayant "malencontreusement" cherché à le visiter en dehors des horaires !
