LAS SALINAS NATURAL PARK
Read moreIt is the former wetlands of Elche where the saltworks have been set up. They are divided into two zones, the salt marsh area and the marsh area. Fauna and flora are of course adapted to this humidity and to the salinity rate. Throughout the year, the park is home to more than 150 species of birds, including impressive pink flamingos colonies. Its access is free.
THE BEACHES
Read moreThe city has nearly 11 km of white sandy beaches facing the south, including Levant, Varadero and Gran Playa. Next to the Naturel Naturel natural park, in the extreme southwest of the municipality, El Pinet is a virgin beach which can only be accessed on foot and also enjoy a beautiful view of the bay. The Calanques of Santiago Barnabeu are also interesting for divers.
