DIADA CASTELLERA DE SANT FÈLIX

Since the 19th century, on the occasion of the Festa Major (patron saint's day) in Vilafranca del Penedès, the best castelleres in Catalonia have been meeting on Plaça de la Vila to build the most beautiful and tallest human tower. It is a major event to see castells, a tradition classified as a UNESCO cultural heritage site. The event arouses so much interest that it is broadcast live by the Catalan media!
