CASA CLAPÉS
Nice modernist house in the Plaça Porxada, part of the modernist route to follow in the center of Granollers
The architect Manuel Joaquim Raspall is responsible for the transformation of this medieval house into a modernist residence. Its pastel blue facade, decorated with geometric motifs in relief, stands out from the Renaissance-style buildings that line the square. Built in 1904, the house designed by the architect from La Garriga features decorative elements typical of Catalan Art Nouveau, such as wrought iron railings (he used the "whiplash" technique here), decorative flower garlands, transverse ceramic friezes and decorative medallions. Located in Plaça Porxada, the house is part of the "modernist route" to follow in the center of Granollers.
