Historical Interpretation Center of Granollers with remains of the tannery of Ginebreda.
Discovered in 2005, the remains of the Ginebreda tannery have been converted into the historical interpretation centre of medieval Granollers (it is attached to the Granollers Museum). Although it is not the only documented tannery in Granollers, it is the only one that has been partly preserved, providing a fine testimony of a pre-industrial complex dating from the Middle Ages. La Ribera, or the lower part of the tannery, preserves its old basins, wells and a kiln that were used to treat the hides (bleaching with dyeing, salting, tanning and drying). The interpretation centre offers a journey back to the origins of the town - take a look at the remains of the old wall! - and discover its history, from the construction of the church of Sant Esteve to the Industrial Revolution.
