FESTA MAJOR DE GRANOLLERS

It is one of the most popular festivities in Catalonia. During 10 days, the capital of Vallès Oriental is divided into two colours: white and blue. The two rival glues then compete in around a hundred activities and competitions, such as the traditional passada de rajoles ("brick passage"), rope pulling or the bricklayers' competition. The " correfocs " and " correaigües " parade through the streets, the castells go up, and then on the last day, the jury chooses the winning team.
