A few hours walk from the village, many rocks are covered with engravings, the legend of which says that they have a divine origin. They were actually carried out by tribes in the region at various periods of history. In total, more than 6,000 petroglyphs were identified in the most accessible part of the village, representing animals, hunting scenes, or rubob, stringed musical instruments. But there are still hundreds more in the mountains. When arriving from Wakhan, you must stop in the trough of a corner, at school level, to find the path to petroglyphs. During the summer, guides usually offer to help you find them (agree on a fare before leaving).
