This little hamlet has three strengths: an observatory, camels and an excellent starting point to explore Lake Sarez. The climb to the lake, which takes about two days, is much softer to the hiker's calves than the Bartang valley, and the route passes through a very beautiful lake area.Koi-Tezek Pass at 4,272 m is the last before Khorog. The road is in poor condition and in winter trucks are often blocked. Once the pass passes, the landscapes become more hospitable, the villages follow, and we enter the Western Pamir.
