This private house, located in the old quarter near Kok Goumbaz, dates from the eighteenth century. The main room has a magnificent ceiling of painted wood as well as traditional storage niches decorated with frescoes. It is not a museum, but the owners are very welcoming and will show you with pleasure their traditional house and explain it (better to have an interpreter with yourself) the main features. There are about fifteen such houses in the old town of Istaravshan.
