My local bakery and totally amazing, really great selection ton of breads and cakes. I always buy the fruit tartes as a gift when visiting friends and they always go down a treat. All breads are really high quality, I particularly love the Sourdough loaf.
Jamais déçue, à chaque passage une nouvelle spécialité Maison Puget. Leur flan est un délice et le meilleur de Londres. Les patisseries & sandwichs tout est frais et fait maison. On adore y aller à chaque passage à Londres !
While I cannot comment on service and atmosphere as I ordered online, I can say, as a French person, that this is possibly the best bread I've had in London (and I've been here for 20 years). I am excited that I have finally found a place where the products taste like home. I wish they were closer but thanks to the delivery service, I'll be able to order when I'm at work.
As a local, the bakery is a cherished gem for me. I adore everything they offer, from their crunchy baguettes to their freshly made salads and croissants. The owners, a delightful French family, are incredibly kind and welcoming. I have a deep affection for them and their attitude.
Being French, the baguette was indeed tasty...
It was Sunday noon, so the selection was VERY limited, so I was quite disappointed.
Service wasn't professional and was distracted. The lady kept the same gloves used to give change to the precious customer to then serve the bread I ordered.
Lights were switched off, so not very welcoming atmosphere whilst the shop is meant to be open late.
I will not bother next time. Sorry if my review sounds slightly harsh!!
Today, Saturday 27 Jan 24, I arrived at the shop at 7:20 AM and asked for a baguette. The shop assistant said they are not ready, and will be ready in 20 minutes. I asked whether this is an exception or always like this in order to adjust my timing next tine. He replied “an exception “. Then a French female shop assistant added in a heavily accented voice and arrogant tone “come in the night and cook the baguette “. Amazing rudeness. I didn’t argue simply left. I went next door to Gails where I was greeted by friendly people and served with a smile.
One of the best French bakeries I have been to in London. It's now one of the main reasons we visit Portobello Rd. The pastries are really good and big!
Phenomenal baguettes, excellent variety of bread, sandwiches and patisseries. The selection of miniature patisseries is particularly good. A true neighbourhood gem, the staff is always friendly and the owners true food heroes.
From what I’ve tried - very good baguette and quiche, excellent croissant amandes, best tropezienne and millefeuille K&C. Surprisingly disappointing croissant. Warm and charming accueil always. X
baguette and the canellés are totally yummy
They are on baking racks or near the counter, never on the window display.
