Home of Sir John Soane, the architect behind The Bank of England. A collector and art enthusiast, Soane amassed dozens of architectural pieces and small sculptures, which he installed throughout his house. Explore the new areas open to the public: catacombs, basement and hall. Overflowing with Egyptian, Roman, medieval and Renaissance curiosities, this museum is a little wonder. By reservation, one Friday a month, at dusk, this museum can be visited by candlelight. A magical atmosphere guaranteed!

Si vous souhaitez sortir des sentiers battus à Londres, je vous conseille de visite ce musée, vous serez surpris ! C'est en plus une assez grande maison, vous pouvez prendre votre temps pour la visiter.

Un bel hôtel particulier au coeur de Londres reconverti en musée, on y trouve une partie de l'immense collection de l'architecte John Soane. Un endroit qui vaut le détour tant pour le lieu que pour les nombreux objets qu'il abrite. Entièrement gratuit, ce musée est assez populaire ce qui vous vaudra peut-être de devoir patienter un peu pour y entrer.
