RIO CINEMA

This Art Deco-style independent cinema has been in existence since 1909. It's a Dalston institution. It was recently named one of London's best cinemas by the famous Daily Telegraph. The program is eclectic, ranging from small arthouse films to major productions for the general public, and from foreign to British films. There are usually two films a week. Festivals are also held here. The café is a pleasant place to stop off before or after a screening.
