Emplacement très pratique près de la gare et de bcp de métro pour aller visiter Londres. Très propre et ambiance très sympa. Les matelas sont très confortables.

this hostel is a vibe! i booked a shared room — pretty big & clean. Shared bathroom (men's & women's), great location (10 minutes of walk from Kings Cross Station), smoking area, café + restaurant (food was really delicious — options for vegetarians too), bar, luggage room & room with wash machine.
staff there is very friendly & helpful. special thanks to (probably one of my favorite security) — Zeca (he gives this hostel a twist — thanks to him every stay here is a pleasure).

Le lieu était agréable et les parties communes bien aménagée. Les chambres sont petites mais fonctionnelles malheureusement, la ventilation se fait difficilement. Les douches sont a revoir car elles sont trop petites et il n'y a pas de table pour poser ses affaires, les peintures du plafond s'écaille du à l'humidité.
Le personnel était très agréable et cela ne nous a pas empêché de passer un super séjour.

I rang the doorbell several times and nobody answered. I phoned the hostel staff several times and nobody answered. Eventually I had to settle for a different place to live because the staff at the Generator could not be reached

The bedspreads in the rooms were generally dirty, out of four bedspreads three were dirty, they had brown stains, a lot of hair on another and blue stains on another and the pillows were not very clean.
The floor of the room was full of hair and dirt and there were several quite large damps on the ceiling.

La ubicación es buena ya que esta cerca de muchos medios de transportes, buses y metros.
Los baños compartidos muy comodos y limpios
las habitaciones algo pequeñas pero cumplen con el precio.
Las inatalaciones comunes son muy comodas, hay lugar de descaso, mesas para comer y bar de noche.

Great location and basic facilities but clean and good for the price in central london
Only complaint was the staff member was not very helpful when we arrived, did not tell us where things were or any info and was very difficult about leaving a key card for one of our friends who was on the same booking but had not yet arrived. He kept telling us we should stay and wait for her and give her the key card ourselves but as her transport was delayed and we didn’t know how long she would be and we were due to be heading out to other part of london for the evening we pleaded for him to let her collect it at the desk and he eventually relented

The location of this place is great, and the staff were relatively helpful. The bar is also very fun. Sadly the rest is terrible. We booked a dorm, so maybe private rooms are cleaner. However our shower and the floor were filthy and covered in mold. There is virtually no ventilation to prevent this. There was a Dorito in one bed. My friend had to ask for clean sheets 3 times and there were still stains. Towels have to be rented. Very cheap but not enough to justify the rest.

We went for the shuffleboard bar.
Was nice and staff were friendly. Toilets felt like they needed some work- not very clear/ tidy / well kept.

If you are on a budget, this place offers no kitchen facilities and pre and post check in luggage lockers £1 an hour so have maked this a 4 but it does offer a sports bar and games room if you are into that. Bar meals. Staff are very friendly. This is an incredibly large and busy hostel. Not for everyone.

We booked a Private Ensuite, and the experience was disappointing.
1. There are no regular clean-ups even after requesting at the reception and house cleaning staff multiple times. Even the bins were not emptied daily let alone change of sheets and bathroom fresh up (even after multiple requests).
2. Water went out one day for hours and we were advised to use facilities in a "different floor", what's the point of booking in an ensuite if we are compelled to share space?
3. Food cannot be delivered because they have a restaurant, this was not communicated during the time of booking or even during checking-in (we asked). The restaurant/café have very limited options not meeting dietary needs or even decent number options. This should be somewhere in the “rules” section BEFORE a booking can be made.
4. The lady at the reception, who refers to everyone as “Miss” was quite rude. And this was not a matter of a bad day, the lady was impolite each time answering any query offputtingly. Rest of the staff was helpful and quite polite.
5. There isn’t enough light in the room but that’s the least of the concerns given all the hygiene issues.

Super accueil effectué par Yomade, très serviable et à l'écoute.
Établissement très jeune, très agréable en terme d'ambiance, toujours beaucoup de monde et d'activités.
Plutôt propre dans l'ensemble..
Parfois des soucis de débit d'eau pour les chasses d'eau, mais il y a des salles de bain et WC à chacun.des 5 étage, donc bon. Pas vraiment un soucis.

The Hostel Generator is Good. Very cool people working there and attending the People. Shoutout to the Receptionist Workers. My needs were met. The Kitchen Workers are super nice. My special thanks Goes out to Roberta, she was very nice

J'ai fait un séjour de 4 jours, 3 nuits pendant le week-end de pâques. Vu la situation il y a beaucoup de passages de clients (personnes solos, familles avec enfants de tout âge, amis, gros groupe de voyageurs)
Pour faire simple
Points forts
-emplacement (proche de St pancras)
-serviabilité des employés
-quartier calme et beaucoup de restaurants, cafés, pubs proches
-bonne ambiance au bar entre les clients
-la variété du petit déjeuner et des options pour boire et manger sur place
Points neutres
-la propreté est correcte mais pourrait être mieux (les douches et parties communes du batiment sont nettoyées plusieurs fois par jour)
Points négatifs
-la propreté des chambres pourrait être améliorée, il y beaucoup de poussière
-isolation à revoir, les chambres peuvent être très froides en attendant que le chauffage s'allume
-Le bruit des autres clients (surtout s'ils utilisent une enceinte jusqu'à 3h du matin)
-Le volume sonore excessif chaque soir de la musique du bar (si ça pouvait diminuer ça serait nickel)
En gros c'était très correct pour une auberge de jeunesse mais il ne faut pas s'attendre à un palace mais à un lieu où il y a beaucoup de vie (avec ce que ça implique)

Location is fine and the bar was OK but everything else was pretty bad. Showers were terrible and you get backwash from all the other showers. I'm still not sure what the "changing rooms?" were for...looked like it wanted to be a shower but no hooks or anything resembling it. The rooms were way too cramped even for 4 people let alone 6. Overall, definitely wouldn't come back...can we also mention the random people in the bathroom? Yikes

Me dieron una cama litera y me toco la parte de arriba… la parte baja había un hombre viviendo en el cuarto porque tenia ollas, comidas, un montón de rola y mantas.. no era un turista que alojaba unos dias sino tenia todas sus pertenencias de un año por lo menos y olía fatal.. y no paraba de golpear la cama con el pie (estaba medio loco) para que me marchara a otra habitacion. Fui a la recepcionista a quejarme, me cambiaron la habitacion después de 2 noches porque no había mas camas inmediatamente… horrible experiencia en este hotel, dormir con un vagabundo en un hotel..

A nice hostel with a great location, although the rooms are lacking of space and the showers are really small. There are also leaking pipes on the roof of the bathrooms.

Hébergement très bien situé, à proximité du métro. super ambiance, bar, baby foot, billard, coin repas... Seul point négatif: la taille des chambres: nous avions un chambre pour quatre personnes ( 2 lits superposés) nous ne pouvions pas ouvrir la porte complètement, la porte tapait sur le lit.

Des chambres trop exiguës, de rares salles d'eau trop éloignées des chambres, un accueil moyen, des services chers...je ne suis pas fan
This backpacker is known especially because it is clean and well equipped. Except for groups of young people who make times a little too festival in buildings this place offers good value for money in my opinion. More, it is located in the city centre just next to St. Pancras. Ideal for short stay!
