The best option for grabbing a bite to eat south of the Thames will always be Borough Market. It's one of the biggest food markets in the world, and one of the oldest. It has just celebrated its 1,000th birthday! The presence of a market on this site dates back to the 11th century. Today, it's worth a visit for both its tempting stalls and its green steel structure under the railway arches. Enjoy delicious doughnuts at Bread Ahead, oysters, pie, fish & chips, fresh bread or cheese.

C'est un marché trés vivant avec une grande choix des products alimentairs et bio. On peut aussi y manger et déguster la cuisine de tout le monde: coquillages, huitres, paellas, sandwiches à la viande, boissons exotiques... Normalment ils sont aussi bien prepares.

Marché très sympathique pour ce que l'on appelle les "foodies". Ingrédients de qualité, odeurs alléchantes et plusieurs stands à la cuisine variée: plats végétariens, indiens, italiens, français (raclette, si si!), allemands, japonais, thaÏ, des burgers à tomber par terre - je vous conseille celui au Stilton. Rançon du succès: ça devient cher et il y a surtout beaucoup de touristes....

C'est mon marché préféré j'y vais à chaque fois que je vais à Londres. Les burgers sont délicieux. J'achète aussi des pâtes fourrés au fromage et champignons. Bien sûr nous achetons du pain. Et oui... Nous avons goûté au fromage anglais et au comté (français) aussi.
Lorsque vous traversez le marché vous allez au green market où là vous laisserez sûrement tenté par un des plats chaud proposé.

Some beautiful stalls, including a butcher with beautiful British game, a shop with delicious pâté with meat, beautiful breads (run by French?). As for cheese, not much room (many Italian, and even Swiss cheese!).
