Opened in January 2015 by talented and friendly Devon chef Merlin Labron-Johnson, the restaurant was awarded its first star just a few months after opening. Merlin then became Britain's youngest Michelin-starred chef, aged just 24. He champions organic and sustainable farming, and the use of produce from small British producers.
