The location of this restaurant offers a pleasant stroll in the beautiful alleys of the old town. Well signposted, the itinerary is a happy journey to this ancient th century boilermaker house. This charming little "shack" is overflowing with books and treasures of another time. Love of the Old Town, Stefano and Francesco, the two Monticelli brothers, also deal with a Patrimoine heritage Conservation association. The two restaurant rooms add a summer terrace. With only 32 seats, it is better to book. The decoration is unique, warm and well thought out. The dishes are rich, traditional and tasty. The photos of the mamma, the beautiful Laura, line the walls. She's inspired by her son's kitchen that wants to eat her clients clients, like at home.

The "official" gelateria of Campobasso, the one where you queue up, is Brisotti; a privileged observation point.

In the heart of the ancient village, not far from the Castello Monforte, this restaurant hides behind a wooden door, embedded in a stony wall. Inside, the atmosphere is warm and rather intimate. We quickly travel the menu of dishes, rather reduced, to concentrate on that of wines that would make more than one sommelier blush. If the menu is rather small, don't think you're hungry. The dishes are actually selected and made perfectly perfect. We have tasted ravioli ravioli and divine mozzarella with honey and nuts. An absolute delight, for excellent value for money.

Just at the entrance to the city, this restaurant borrows its name from a Totò, Misery and Noblesse film which summarizes the philosophy of the site: how to create noble dishes with poor ingredients. The task is arduous and the names on the dishes show that the cook has broken down. The choice of wines, white gironia among others, is excellent. The cheese menu is impressive, the meat dishes are very fine, and the caponata to be damned. Frequented, the restaurant likes a lot; its green, yellow, red, crystal chandeliers, its class service, combining experience and demand are the reasons for this success. Book in the evening.

Located in the old town, at the foot of Castello Monforte, this family-run restaurant serves traditional Molisane cuisine (try the pizza e minestra!). The address is well known in Campobasso and, for good reason, the room is pretty and the quality-price ratio is excellent! As a bonus, the dishes are copious and the service is fast. You will taste here the regional family cooking, the one that is served on Sunday at lunch time. A sure value!
